For us, sustainability means using resources more consciously in our daily hotel operations while keeping this commitment in balance with the comfort of our guests.
At Hotel MEDO, we focus on responsible solutions in areas such as water, energy, cleaning, hotel laundry and consumables. Our goal is to reduce unnecessary consumption while continuing to offer a high-quality, hygienic and pleasant stay.
We do not see sustainability as a one-time measure, but as an ongoing process. That is why we regularly review our procedures and continue to improve them step by step.
Small Decisions. Noticeable Impact.
Sustainability often starts with many small decisions in everyday life. When resources are used more consciously, consumables are controlled more carefully, single-use products are reduced and cleaning processes are made more efficient, the combined effect becomes noticeable.
As a hotel, we want to do our part while also giving our guests the opportunity to support this path through conscious decisions during their stay.
Our Measures at a Glance
- We use treated water and thereby support a more conscious use of this valuable resource.
- Modern LED technology and motion sensors in selected areas help reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
- In shared areas, we use automatic soap and paper dispensers with controlled dispensing. This allows us to combine hygiene with more controlled and conscious consumption.
- We avoid single-use products wherever it is hygienically and practically possible. Where hygiene, food safety or legal requirements make it necessary, we continue to use safe individual packaging.
- Bed linen and towels are professionally cleaned and reused. In this way, we rely on long-lasting textiles and a responsible laundry cycle.
- Our guests can voluntarily choose not to have their room cleaned every day. This saves water, energy and cleaning products. For every night the room is not cleaned, Hotel MEDO additionally donates €2.20 to Mary’s Meals.

Through a more conscious use of water and reduced cleaning processes, we aim to manage water consumption in our daily hotel operations more responsibly.

With LED lighting and motion sensors, we focus on more efficient energy use and avoid unnecessary electricity consumption.
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
By reducing single-use products, using controlled dispensing systems and applying resources more consciously, we support responsible consumption in our hotel operations.
SDG 13 – Climate Action
Lower energy and resource consumption can help reduce the environmental impact of our daily hotel operations within the scope of our possibilities.
